I'm considering a trip to Greece (probably based in Athens) between Christmas and New Year (approx dates 27th Dec 09 - 2nd Jan 10). Most people probably think of Greece as a destination best visited in spring/summer. Any thoughts on whether this winter visit is a good idea? Tips on intersting things to do in and around Athens at this time of year would also be most welcome!
