This trip gives you the best Sapa has to offer but not in the normal way. The traditional treks start in Sapa and finish back in Sapa.The trek is tougher but not less enjoyable since you trek through the hills and valleys of Sapa and Lai Chau region, discovering several different minorities along the way. You will experience overnight accommodation in the hospitable villages of Dzay, Tay and Dzao ethnic minorities. The apparent hardships are worth it though as we walk through some of the most spectacular scenery that Vietnam has to offer and experience unique villages culture.
Day1: Hanoi - Lao Cai 400 km
Night train to Lao Cai (LC5 , soft sleeper, dept 21.30) , you will be picked up at from your hotel 20.30 by Sapa Adventure in Hanoi staff and transfer by car to Hanoi train station . Night on train.
Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa - Ta Van village (15 km walking).(L,B,D)
Arrive at Lao Cai train station from 06.00 to 06.30 ,our guide will meet you at the station, pick up then transfer to to Sapa-36kms, . Arrive at Sapa town for refreshment. Tour briefing organized by tour guide about all information related to the trek . Start trekking from Sapa at 10.00 to visit Y Linh Ho , Lao Chai villages of Black H'mong hill tribes . Lunch provided enroute . Keep trekking to Ta Van Village of Day minorities. Dinner and overnight in Ta Van village.
Day 3: Ta Van - Ban Ho(25 km)(L,B,D)
After having breakfast, you and guide start trekking uphill, crossing bamboo forest, visiting Red Dzao hill tribes in Giang Ta Chai. Walking up to the main road. Continue trekking to Ban Ho settled by Tay ethnic minorities where the village located at the bottom of Muong Hoa Valley. O/N in Ban Ho.
Day 4: Ban Ho-Sapa(L,B,D)
Taking tours around the village in the morning. Climbing uphill to take car back to Sapa. Free in Sapa in the afternoon. O/N in Sapa
Day 5: Sapa - Phong Tho - Sin ho - Lai Chau/ 80 km(L,B,D)
Departure from Sapa 9:00 Am every Fridays. Passing the Tram ton pass 42 km long with many point for sightseeing or taking picture of Hoang Lien Son imposing mountain's range. Visiting the Pape Village of Lu people then the Thai people in Ban Hon Village. Going to Phong Tho at 13:30PM check-in Phuong Thanh Hotel. Having lunch in the local restaurant before visiting Phong tho Market.
Day 6: Phong Tho - Sin ho/ 118km(L,B,D)
Start at 9:00Am driving up the rough road passing the home of Meo, Man, Thai minority groups. Picnic lunch at the good place near the bank of the River. Get to Sin Ho at 14:00 PM check-in Guest-House.
Day 7: SinHo-Lai Chau/55km(B,L,D)
In the morning enjoying the weekly cultural Market that only held on Sunday with very colourful of many minority groups such as: Meo, Man, having lunch in a Local restaurant. 13:30 transfer to Lai Chau check - in Lan Anh Hotel at 14:00 PM
Day 8: Lai Chau-Sapa/175 km(B,L,D)
From Lai Chau, Car takes you back to Sapa. O/n in Sapa town
Day 9: Sapa-Hanoi(B,L,D)
Free for relax or shopping before driving from Sapa town to Lao Cai to take night train back to Hanoi. Train arrives in Hanoi at 5.00 next morning
