From the preserved buildings of Lefkimi, the churches are of special historical value. A whole list of churches that are recorded in notary acts of the 16th century are preserved and some still operate today:

ImageIn Riglades the churches of Agii Anargiri, Agios Nikolaos and Agios Arsenios. In the later, the relics of Saint Arsenios are kept in a silver reliquary. The region Alikes, that took its name from the salt marshes that exist there and gathered salt in older years, is a cultural area.

ImageIn Agii Theodori, the church of Agii Theodori that dominates in the centre of the village, the church of Virgin Mary the Leader, the mansion of Kogevina and the abbey of "Dame of Angels" that was built in 1698 by the sons of Kapodistrias as an offering to Virgin Mary.

In Potami the church of Virgin Mary the Leader, the church of Agios Spiridonas and the mansion of the great urbanist Voulgaris.

ImageIn Melikia the church of Agios Isavros with rare wall paintings and pictures of the 16th century, the church of Iasonas and Sosipatris, the church of Panagia Labovitisa and the mansion of Kapodistrias family (of Viaros).

ImageIn Kavos the church of Agios Prokopios and on Arkoudilla hill the monastery of Panagia Eleusa (Beata Vergine Eleusa) with the blazon of Quartano, dated 1710 built by the Venetians. The monastery has historical interest, since the Greek cannonry was located there during the 2nd World War. There are many more buildings from the beginning of the century or the end of the previous in the area of Lefkimi.
