May
During the first two weeks of May the average temperature is around 20˚C and 2 days a week there is a possibility for a little rain. As a result of low temperature and high humidity it can be little chilly at night, so you will surely need a light jacket. In the second half of May the temperature begins to rise, reaching an average of 25˚C. The probability of rain decreases in half, at only one day a week and evenings remain cold. In May the seawater is pretty cold.
June
In the first two weeks of June the average temperature is about 25˚C and it is probable that one day a week it will drop a short rain. Evenings are warmer but humidity is still high, so you should better take your jacket with you. The next two weeks it is finally summertime: temperatures are around 30˚C and evenings are warm; there always exists the possibility of rain. The sea is henceforth warm.p>
July
July is the heart of summertime with temperatures regularly rising above 30˚C, often reaching 35˚C or even 40˚C. Humidity levels are very high, evenings are boiling hot and the temperature of the sea is at its highest point. Henceforth you will not need a jacket but the lighter clothes you can find and air-condition in your room.
August
August begins with the same conditions as those prevailing in the end of July: high temperatures often to the point of scorcher, a lot of humidity, boiling hot evenings and very warm sea water. However, there is a difference... the etesian northwestern summer winds. When the northwestern begins it keeps at least three days and is really a pesterer. As days pass and the end of August approaches there is a probability of storm that does not keep long but is very intense. The good part is that it ceases after two or three hours and the weather immediately returns to usual.
September
In September the high temperatures recede and the average temperature is roughly 25˚C. The sea remains relatively warm but humidity can be intense in the evenings, so you will surely need to carry a light jacket. It is not a bad idea to have your umbrella with you, as there always exists a probability of rain.
October
October brings us closer to the autumnal landscape. The temperature recedes under 25˚C and the evenings are henceforth cold. Now the rain is a very usual phenomenon and the sea is pretty cold.
As a general conclusion on the weather in Kavos and Lefkimi in the duration of the six-month tourist period, we can say that it is a Mediterranean climate with high humidity, without particular winds but with probability of rain.
